Nike’s first scaled pre-order experience was brought to life through a retro-gaming-inspired campaign for the Air Max 1 ‘Low Poly.’ Like the sneaker, this campaign was designed to blur the line between reality and fantasy. Every touchpoint engaged the consumer in a world that merged storytelling with commerce in a surprising and interactive way.
To launch ‘Low Poly,’ we started with Max’s Lab, an immersive experience filled with never-before-seen Nike experiments.
A display for the Air Max 1 ‘Low Poly’ is the focal point of Max’s Lab, and as users explored the lab, they realized that the shoe had escaped containment and then, out of the blue, the sneaker appeared in Kai Cenat’s gaming room! To put a bow on “Low Poly,” we surprised streamer Kai Cenat with a remix of his gaming room in a full low-poly renovation. With this project, we went all-in on making virtual items like “Low Poly” real—and vice versa—so rebuilding Kai’s room felt like a perfect manifestation of the concept.
